The dental implant is just the bone anchor or root support. Then the patient needs to have teeth made on these supports. Sometimes a few, strong dental implants can support many teeth. Sometimes we use dental implants and natural teeth as supports for the same fixed bridge. All designs I use are substantiated by current dental science. That is what I teach. That is what I practice.
By the way, dental implants do not have “proprioception” like teeth. Teeth supported by dental implants can look great and work beautifully, but they don’t feel the same as natural teeth. I have dental implants in my own mouth so I know this firsthand.
